Although Cameron Daddo was fortunate enough after his original character was killed off to get a second lease of life in Summer Bay, it seems the curtain call has finally come now.
Before the character finally died off-screen the 55-year-old originally played Ryder’s (Lukas Radovich) terminally ill father, Evan.
But there was a big twist in the real jaw-dropping soap style! Evan had a hidden twin brother named Owen, which allowed Cameron to return to the Bay, and Roo (Georgie Parker) had a romance with his character.
Roo also couldn’t step beyond the fact that Owen looked similar to the late Evan and their relationship crumbled in this week’s episodes, despite their sizzling chemistry and evident love for another. Sob!-Sob!
Safe to say, when Owen walked away forever, fans were saddened and soon after the departure of his character, Cameron took to Instagram to say his final farewells.

Georgie also paid tribute to their time together, writing a touching post on her own website, with his on-screen love interest.
