Gary Windass’s worst fear is unfolding on Coronation Street, ahead of the ITV drama revisiting the death of Rick Neelan. Coronation Street reported danger for Gary Windass, who could reveal his killer secret. While other Weatherfield residents exposed him as a loan shark, the extent of his criminal activity is not known till now.
He was the culprit behind the factory roof collapse last year, taking the life of Rana Habeeb. Gary blamed this on missing Rick Neelan, who was eventually killed in a brutal showdown just months after Rana’s murder. Loan shark Rick had attempted to kill him in the woods, where his body was buried, only to get Gary to the top and kill him first.
It was reported earlier this year that the plot would be revisited by dark scenes on the soap to air in May.
The ITV soap will be shipped back to the place where the body is buried, though further exact details are yet to be confirmed.
Now, there’s been hints about what could lead to a next storyline, and perhaps the discovery about Rick’s murder. A comeback has been announced that will no doubt create problems for murderer Gary and possibly revealing what he’s been hiding for months.
Rick’s daughter, Kelly, is making a comeback on the block, so she appears to be hanging around. The last time the fans saw her, she was going to Weatherfield to threaten Gary and find her missing dad-but she left after finding hardly anything.
Gary will be in turmoil when she arrives and gets friendly with Emily, Asha, and Summer, choosing to stick around.
A source tells the publication: “Gary has managed to put his recent dodgy history behind him to continue with Maria again to be a decent guy–but his previous misdeeds have a way of coming to haunt him.” This time it is in the form of Kelly, who is quite a presence around Coronation Street–not just for Gary, but when she gets interested with the Amy, Asha to Summer friendship group.
“Gary’s going to find it hard to have Kelly around, particularly as he realizes what she’s going through. When he’s heading out to help her, she’s pretty much his Achilles ‘ heel.”With Rick’s body already out there and Gary’s guilt at the forefront, there’s a clear fear that Kelly may be his undoing.” Twists and turns are expected to arise for those related to Kelly, leading to big scenes throughout.
