Coronation Street spoilers: Seb Franklin’s killer Corey Brent was given a huge promotion after getting away with murder

SEB Franklin’s killer Corey Brent is given a huge promotion after getting away with his murder next week in Coronation Street.

The troubled teen – played by Maximus Evans in the ITV soap – swerved a prison sentence earlier this month.

The evil boy killed handyman Seb in a brutal hate attack earlier this year.

But Kelly Neelan gets locked up for the crime he committed.

In episodes due to air next week, Corey returns to the Cobbles and it is revealed that he’s managed to get a place on his first team.

His promotion causes uproar and Kevin believes that it is a slap in the face for Seb’s mum Abi.

It is made worse because Corey has been given anonymity from the trial.

Kevin decides to take matters into his own hands, and both Nina Lucas and Asha Alahan agree that his teammates should be told about what he’s been involved in.

The mechanic asks his son Jack to have a word with the team’s manager, but the youngster fails to convince him.

This leads Kevin and pal Tim Metcalfe to go and talk to him instead.

The pair are convinced that if Corey is taken off the team it will bring back Seb’s mum Abi.

Abi, who is still grieving over her son Seb, has gone to stay with her cousin as she can’t bear to be near Corey.

When they finally get to have words with the manager they realize that they don’t have a leg to stand on as Corey was found not guilty of the crime in court.

Realizing that Kevin is not himself, Tim tells him to drop what he’s doing for Abi as he’s got other things to worry about.

The cab driver soon tells Nina that Kevin is a “broken man” and needs to stop as he’s making himself ill.

Will Nina and Kevin give up just like that?
