EXCLUSIVE: This holiday season, viewers of Coronation Street will be treated to the spectacular return of a well-known face to Weatherfield—Bethany Platt.
Before moving to London to begin a new life, Bethany Platt (played by Lucy Fallon) was last seen by Coronation Street viewers on the streets of Weatherfield in 2020. But, she’s unexpectedly returning this holiday season.
Her return coincides with her ex-boyfriend Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) and fiancée Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) split. It appears that there will be drama between the two women, even though her ex is now back on the dating scene.
Speaking with Express.co.uk and other media outlets, soap opera star Lucy Fallon discussed the kind of relationship she thinks Bethany and Daisy will eventually have. “I think because Daisy is a strong female character, Bethany is also a strong female character,” the soap opera star remarked.
They both seem to want the same thing, so I think they will clash. I believe they will engage in a power struggle.
However, I also find it hard to believe that Bethany would spend a significant amount of time on the streets pursuing another woman or girl after everything that happened to her with men and Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper).
“I hope that instead of detesting each other like they do now, they will eventually become more friends!”
Daniel and Daisy, who were engaged, recently called it quits after Daisy admitted to having an affair with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).
She swore it would never happen again, but he could not forgive her betrayal, and she was devastated.
She wasn’t the first person he had proposed to, though; he had previously attempted to do so to Bethany before mispronouncing her name.

Daisy will perceive Bethany as a danger when she returns, according to soap opera star Charlotte Jordan, who said: “She’s gorgeous, she’s been told how successful Bethany is living it up in London and Daisy is a naturally jealous, territorial person.”
“Daisy will be on high alert immediately because Bethany connected with Daniel when he was most vulnerable, and I have to admit, I’m really looking forward to playing around with that relationship.”
Will Daniel and Bethany resume their love affair? Or will he resolve his issues with Daisy after seeing her?
