Cassie Plummer of Coronation Street has found herself back on the wrong track after she chooses to associate herself with Terry, the dog abuser her mother Evelyn Plummer was attempting to have jailed.
Following the attack on Terry, the dog abuser, Cassie Plummer (played by Claire Sweeney) of Coronation Street may lose the trust of her son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). Cassie plans to break into Terry’s house this week and take the money and puppies he has hidden away in his abandoned house.
When Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) saw Terry abusing his dog and eventually recorded him being abusive toward her, she became determined to have him locked up. It was recently made public, though, that he received a community service sentence after entering a guilty plea to the offense.
In later scenes, Cassie is confronted by Terry after she breaks into his house, leaving her family concerned for her safety and whether she will be allowed to remain in the house.
According to official spoilers, Cassie phones Evelyn at the store and says she’s given Terry’s money to a dog charity and that she attacked him just to make sure he didn’t hurt the dogs.
Later, Tyrone informs Evelyn that he has been invited to accompany Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine), who is attending a course in Italy.
He acknowledges his concern for Cassie and clarifies that, given her recent behavior, he wouldn’t dare leave the girls in Cassie’s care for a fortnight.
Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) is reassured by Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that she is free to return to her former bedroom and he will speak with Evelyn.
Has Cassie permanently lost her son’s trust? How many transgressions before Cassie loses the support of her family?
After Cassie tried to break up Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) last week, fans were incensed with her.
She realized she had scratched a client’s Porsche after robbing it in the garage, so she framed herself by placing Abi’s tool trolley in front of the vehicle.
In front of Abi, she flirted with Kevin. When the car’s owner returned and realized what had happened, Cassie said they could finish the job in a day, even though she knew it wouldn’t be feasible.
As Cassie flirted with Kevin and moved Abi aside, viewers of the show noticed what she was doing and began to theorize on their X accounts—formerly known as Twitter.
remarked @fussyMcWhiskers: “#corrie More slippery than a barrel of eels is Cassie. How could she put Abi at fault? Roy needs to let Kevin know that Cassie stole the car.
“Cassie is a narcissistic manipulator—she doesn’t even want Kev,” said @TellyVsPodcasts. I can’t stand it when Abbie and Kevin are content.”
Additionally, @Samanth22356123 tweeted, “They better not be pushing Cassie and Kev together!!!!! #Corrie.”
Bobby Dazzler joked, saying, “#Corrie Cassie is attempting to divide Kev and Abi, which is a risky game.”
Ryan Glendenning wrote: “Considering how much Abi initially supported Cassie, Cassie is a cow—causing friction between Abi and Kevin.” #Corrie
