"We are eternally grateful for their approval."
EastEnders couple Lacey Turner and Davood Ghadami are the godparents of James Bye's baby boy Hugo, reportedly.
James, who portrays Martin Fowler on the show, reported recently to OK! Magazine that Victoria and his father wanted to ask "people are watching about Hugo as much as we'd like to."
Martin and Victoria have expressed their favorite moments during the interview from Hugo's christening on February 22.

"The vicar has been wonderful," Victoria said. "She spoke about how life is a journey and asked everyone to write their name on a little luggage tag." She then asked us all to hold our tag, make a wish, and say a little prayer. We got the bag at the end, with all the cards in it, which was sweet.
Asked how the pair wanted to occupy such specialized roles with Lacey (who plays Stacey Slater) and Davood (who plays Kush Kazemi), James explained: "For more than five years I have interacted with them pretty much every day, and we even socialize a lot outside of work." We have grown so close, to the extent where I would call them I decided immediately as soon as Hugo was born that I wanted to ask them, and we are eternally grateful they agreed."We don't take things literally, because we realize they will be looking over him."
