Together with dance partner Nancy Xu, the actor is ready to participate in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

Following speculation that the two were actually dating, Jamie Borthwick has clarified his relationship with Danielle Harold, his co-star on EastEnder.

On the BBC soap opera, the 29-year-old plays Jay Brown, while Danielle, 31, portrays his on-screen wife Lola Pearce, who died earlier this year.

While he prepares to participate in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special with dance partner Nancy Xu, the actor has also been linked to his other co-star on the soap opera, newcomer Jazzy Phoenix.

Jamie disclosed prior to the launch that “they linked me with Danielle and they linked me with Jazzy.” I’m merely shocked that Nancy and I haven’t been connected.” “There is no lady on the scene at the moment, I’m just enjoying the quiet life,” the television personality declared, confirming that he is single.

Although Jamie maintained that he liked Jazzy’s company, he thought their relationship was more sibling-than-romantic. He went on to say: “We got on like a house on fire, like brother and sister.”

The actor stated that he wants judge Craig Revel-Horwood to be critical of him before his Strictly debut, saying, “I want him to have a go at me.” Please offer me some feedback.”

Jamie stated he hoped all the judges would be forgiving of him because he has no prior dance experience.

“I can’t come back and improve every week to work on my frame or footwork, and I’m sure they’ll see it’s Christmas and we’re all novices,” he said in a BBC interview.

“However, I believe that I haven’t had a Strictly experience if I don’t hear anything bad from Craig.”

Given that it’s Christmas, Nancy predicted that the show’s infamous antagonist “will be very merry with you.”

“Anyone can teach anyone how to do their craft, Nancy can tell me to put my right leg here, and point your toe,” he said, acknowledging his partner. He also expressed his enjoyment of learning the festive routine.

However, she explains it in a way that makes sense to me. That, in my opinion, is what separates a good teacher from a great one, and she has demonstrated that throughout this entire process.

In the joyous special, Jamie will compete against Keisha Buchanan, Dan Snow, Danny Cipriani, Sally Nugent, and Tillie Amartey
