Emmerdale star James Hooton was praised for his acting skills after This Morning viewer realized that he sounds very different from his character Sam Dingle. Emmerdale star James Hooton was on Tuesday this morning to discuss his character Sam Dingle’s current storyline with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes. But the viewer was more interested in the surprising sound of James’ voice, which is completely different from that of his character.
One called him a “b****y good actor” as many remarked how he sounded worlds away from his alter ego on the ITV soap.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Wow always wondered what the actor who plays Sam Dingle was like in real life!!!! He really does play that part well.” “I was years old when I heard Sam Dingle’s real voice,” another posted. The third one wrote, “I’ve always thought that the actor playing Sam Dingle was an idiot. Instead, he’s just a bloody good actor.” “Oh, my God, he doesn’t sound like Sam Dingle, mindblown,” said the fourth.
Another agreed: “Sam Dingle sounds so different in real life.” James was on the show to discuss Sam’s upcoming wedding with Lydia Hart, played by Karen Black. He said, “Yeah, things go pretty smooth for a Dingle wedding, but fans will have to wait and see.
