Home and Away have just taken off air in Australia, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Australia’s Channel 7 network announced that a television program would replace the soap over the next two weeks. It comes after Home and Away stopped production over the weekend. Still, considering that the show is over six months in progress and has several episodes, it appears to be something like a scheduling decision.”We’re in this together, and we’re going to get through this together.” Stay safe and happy—love from all over at home and away.

Digital Spy has approached Channel 5 for details about how this would impact UK broadcasts. The UK is reportedly about six weeks behind the Australian broadcast. On Sunday (March 22), the Seven Studios spokesperson clarified that shooting had been shut down due to “the logistical hurdles.”
“Yesterday, Seven Studios told that it should immediately stop shooting,” they said.”It has been reported that no casting or crew tested positive for COVID-19, but that the decision was made because of the logistical hurdles associated with the COVID-19 situation.”
