The Paratas recently showed up with a terrible history in Summer Bay. Still, despite this, Marilyn (Emily Symons) has nothing but love for Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) after saving her through the siege at the hospital. Ari is there to support her out while she’s dealing with the pain while in the Diner and has a panic attack. Marilyn is left with even more appreciation for Ari, even though he wouldn’t accept it. Nevertheless, after they get both taken hostage, Marilyn wants to take matters into her own hands and calls on a journalist to write about his heroic acts.

In the meantime, it is clear that Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Ari are always at odds with each other, with Nik blaming Ari for the situation they find themselves in whenever he can. Although Gemma (Bree Peters) and Ari hope he’s changing, Gemma is finding a job in the Bay.
With the Paratas trying to make a new start, Ari is shocked when Dean (Patrick O’Connor) recognizes him from their days in jail. He advises Dean to keep his mouth shut, but Dean tells him that the people of the Bay will welcome him. When a news story comes out detailing Ari’s courageous acts during the siege, their fears are increasing. Marilyn quickly knows that she made a mistake because she is happy with what she did. The Paratas are left asking-how long have they been exposed to their secrets?
