It’s possible that Ada Nicodemou has moved from acting to writing with her latest children’s book, Mia Megastar.

The children’s book inspires young ladies to pursue their aspirations and makes a subtly humorous reference to her upbringing.

The Home and Away actress focuses her book, which is aimed at girls eight years old and up, on family and friendship-related life skills.

“It’s loosely based on my life growing up and what inspired me to become an actor,” she said.

It has all of the elements that have shaped who she is today, including the “crazy Greek culture” that permeates everything.

The synopsis for the forthcoming book, which provides a bit more background on the character, was released by Penguin Books.

“This should be simple. My life is so fascinating and wonderful.”

“The only other student in my class that lives above a store is myself. And not just any store—Costa’s is the best place to get fresh fruit, pastries, bread, dips, and other goodies, as everyone knows.”

“We saw the play Leaving . . . and it’s all I can think about.”

“The lights, the heavy red velvet curtains, the music, but mostly the sad girl with tears streaming down her face as she waves goodbye to her best friend.”

“I aspire to be like her. The play’s girl. With the lights, curtains, and music, I want to be up there on the stage.”

The plot is on Mia, who wants to be an actress like Ada, and who joins a theatre club at school with her pals.

Here at Booktopia, you can pre-order Mia Megastar! Ships on June Fourth.
