Justin and Tori have experienced the hardest fight of their lives since Mason’s death. And their sorrow was only compounded when Robbo died too, leaving Tori’s baby Grace without a parent. Although the heartbreak of losing two men they love will never mend entirely, the siblings resolve to take a big step forward and their baby brother goodbye.
Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) come home to meet Tori (Penny McNamee) in tears after a traumatic week in Home And Away. Just sent a package containing Mason’s (Orpheus Pledger) ashes.
They intend to scatter the ashes in the remains of their kin. Leah, who was abducted during the siege at the hospital, has just heard about the deaths of Mason and Robbo (Jake Ryan) and is demanding to join the Morgans to say farewell. “For a long time Leah wasn’t conscious of Mason and Robbo,” Ada, 42, tells WEEK-TV. “When she found out, it came as a big surprise and she didn’t get to grieve them.” Justin and Tori exchanged stories of Mason at the graveyard and burying his ashes. The brothers hug as Leah lays a bouquet on his grave.
The trio arrives home after a stressful day and remains in silence. Justin quickly steps away as Tori plays with little Grace. He lets his grief overtake him in the shower, and sobs in his face. Leah arrives to meet him and, following their previous disconnection, puts her worries aside to console him the couple discovering that they now need each other more than before. Orpheus talked to TV WEEK before he left last year. “I’m so appreciative of all I’ve had to do, all I’ve had to do, what I’ve experienced, all I’ve had to encounter over those nearly four years.” Thinking about Mason’s last valiant moments in the siege Orpheus compared his demise to one album.
“There was so much energy building up to his death and it was really … it was a bit like a moment like a crescendo, it was almost like the height of a very powerful and incredible album.”
