The 24-year-old, despite portraying Bethany Platt for the last five years, will be walking away from the cobbles. And it points out that she wants to stretch her wings on other shows on the small screen and has already secured a range of auditions. The actress spoke about her future plans to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as she was on This Morning. She said:' Corrie was my first job, I didn't do anything else, it got to the point where I've been there for five years and it was now, or never again. I didn't want to get to a stage where I thought I had done more stuff, maybe it didn't work out but I tried at least.'
Despite moving on from Weatherfield, however, it seems that if she really wanted to come back, the doors were left wide open.
