Neighbours Spoilers – Harlow and Chloe go head-to-head

When Paul gives his granddaughter a job, Harlow and Chloe clash professionally in next week’s Neighbours in the UK.

These episodes will begin airing on Monday, September 13th.

There’s nothing worse than feeling worthless, and Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) is in that situation this week.

Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), the general manager of Lassiters, has been attempting to reach an agreement with the Quill Hotel Group for the past few weeks. The competitor firm has been on the verge of bankruptcy for some time, and its general manager Shay (Yasmin Kassim) consented to accept an offer from Lassiters that may save their hotel company from liquidation. Lassiters would invest in the Quill Hotel Group in order to keep it solvent.

Harlow was heavily involved in the development of this proposed tender (Jemma Donovan). Despite the fact that she was merely stepping in as assistant manager while Chloe was on vacation, she embraced the initiative and made it her own.

Terese and her grandpa, Paul, the owner of Lassiters, were both impressed by her work (Stefan Dennis). As a result, there was considerable resentment between the ladies when Chloe returned for her work. While Chloe wanted to continue where she left off, Harlow found it difficult to relinquish control.

She began to surrender authority gradually, but she was adamant on the Quill buy-in plan. She saw herself as an integral part of its establishment and, as such, will see it through to the conclusion.

However, things take a turn this week when Paul, who has been avoiding any conversation about the Quill Group, suddenly decides to speak with Terese about the transaction. Terese and Harlow were not pleased with the outcome.

Terese is obliged to give the terrible news to Harlow, who is in his hotel room with Jesse (Cameron Robbie), that the Quill Group has chosen not to proceed with the acquisition of the competitor hotel firm owing to the dangers involved, particularly some rather substantial debts owned by the Quill Group.

The decision has both Harlow and Jesse devastated. Jesse believed it would give him the new start he needed after serving as a Quills mole. Harlow, as a result of all the effort that had gone into it and, of course, because of Jesse’s sadness.

Harlow’s hard ethic and planning, though, appear to have been noticed. Soon after Terese makes her declaration, her grandpa approaches her with a job offer that completely surprises her.

“Darling, you shown your commitment to the family business,” he comforts his granddaughter, who is upset about having to return to housekeeping.

Paul has a different notion. He tells Harlow that if there’s one thing he’s learned in the previous six weeks, it’s that there’s a hole in the executive team, and he thinks she’s the right person to fill it.

Paul proposes the post of executive liaison, explaining that the job would entail the administration and day-to-day management of any events held at Lassiters. Harlow is afraid that the position will take away from Chloe’s current responsibilities, but Paul dismisses her concerns and asks his granddaughter to think about it.

She meets with Chloe, Paul, and Terese at Terese’s office later. Paul calls the meeting to notify the three that Harlow has taken a new position on the hotel’s executive team.

As Paul describes what she’ll be doing, Chloe and Terese are both taken aback.

It’s a setback for Chloe, who feels Harlow’s new job would relieve her of many of her responsibilities. Paul rejects Chloe’s worries, causing her to wonder if this is some kind of bizarre retribution for her taking so much time off.

Terese tells her assistant manager that this is not the case, stating that she is also unaware of the situation.

While Paul is excited about the possibilities of the new position, Terese puts a stop to the whole thing. They won’t go forward with it until they’ve worked out the bugs and have a clear picture of what both females will be doing.

Chloe and Harlow stumble into one other at Harold’s after the meeting. An enraged Chloe suggests that nepotism is the only reason Harlow has risen through the ranks so rapidly. Harlow is enraged by this and unleashes an assault on her professional adversary.

“You’re the one who left to work with Leo, you almost had an affair with [Leo], and it almost ruined my family,” she screams angrily at Chloe.

“I want this job, therefore whether you like it or not, I’m going to take it.”

Chloe’s expression tells it all.

The gloves have been removed. Allow the finest lady to triumph.
